The boys were cousins. One had been bullied at school and the other recently relocated to the area had never done well at school, so the parents sought a private tutor to home educate.
The Tutor quickly established that one of the children was dyslexic and was able to adjust the teaching to suit his learning style. After a year both boys re-entered mainstream schools and graduated normally.

The student is an adult woman who relocated from Italy to England. In Italy she worked as a fashion journalist and she decided to return to work, this time in England, writing in English. Unfortunately her level of fluency was nowhere near what was required to be successful and it was hoped that some intensive tuition from a superb Tutor would be able to develop her understanding of grammar, develop a more extensive vocabulary, and help her with creative writing.
A native English speaking Tutor with Received Pronunciation was found. They had impeccable grammar, both written and spoken, an English degree from a top flight University, an EFL qualification and appropriate experience with adult learners.

This was an unusual position where, instead of completing high school, a young man wished to study the content of a business degree, without enrolment in a further education establishment, so that he could join his father's business.
A full time Tutor was appointed to create a relevant and applicable course of the standard of a full load degree, partly through tutorials and partly through correspondence.

The Client was a 38 year old business man. He had received a good education and held a senior position in a large international company. Although he was fluent in conversational Arabic he never really learned to read or write the language, and harboured a dream to become competent enough that he could read and enjoy the Koran in its original language.
A very experienced academic was found to work with the Client. He escorted him as he travelled for his business. The Tutor provided lessons in time between meetings, in the evenings and whenever else the time could be found.
This arrangement lasted for a full year, after which the Client's Arabic was at the desired standard.

We have done some amazing activities - a lot of which the adults decide to come on too! - horse riding along a beach; visiting an active volcano; hiking through jungles; climbing up waterfalls and visiting traditional villages to witness spirit dances and land-jumping etc. We were also really lucky to be on a deserted beach in New Caledonia when several sea snakes slithered ashore to lay their eggs! Pretty unique and the children loved it! J - The Tutor
This was just one of the many accounts of the wonderful experiential and hands on learning that travel and education can offer.
