An undergraduate woman had decided to change her course at University and needed to demonstrate a high standard of Latin in order to be accepted on the new course. Having only studied to GCSE this was a serious challenge.
Tutors International were able to secure the services of a well-qualified teacher who himself had graduated from Oxford with Classics. In an intensive summer course the young woman reached the required standard and was accepted onto her new course.

This family were in the middle of a move from their home in France to the US, and their son needed to be supported in his entrance applications for the new school and with the transition from one system to the other.
The Tutor ensured that the boy was able to do well in the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) and therefore be accepted to his first choice of school.

This was a short term but challenging and intensive assignment, working with four children from Ireland while they accompanied their family on business.
The eldest girl was in the final stages of her leaving certificate and did extremely well following the tutoring. All the children loved working with the tutor.

This was a short term position. The Tutor's role was to maintain the children's education relative to their peers while temporarily in Los Angeles. The boy had exceptional memory skills and this was masking a difficulty with reading and learning.
Working with the tutor exposed the hidden learning deficits and largely resolved them. The boy was accepted to an excellent school in his home city of New York and is thriving.

The Tutor's role was to provide the girls with some structured, fun, educational activities during the spring and summer school vacations so that the time was not spent idly, and so that the girls are prepared for school the following September.
The remit was filled as requested and the children had a productive and enjoyable summer holiday.

This short term position was to prepare a young man who had rather lost his way but who now wanted to pass his General Educational (GED) Diploma Test, the minimum US high school graduation requirement.
The Tutor successfully prepared the young man for the test.

This boy had been attending a local prep school, but his preferred choice of secondary school could not take him until a year had passed. A private tutor was needed to provide a home education during this transitional year.
The Tutor needed to liaise closely with the new school to make sure that the boy would be able to integrate seamlessly when he joined the following year. We learned recently that the young man did well in his GCSEs in 2009.

This young man attended a very well known private boarding school in England but was not doing well, and was off school for a term in the middle of his GCSE course.
A Tutor was found who was able to teach the 9 GCSE subjects required during the period of homeschooling. The young man subsequently went on to achieve excellent GCSEs, 3 As at A level and is now at University.

This short term summer was needed to help improve the English reading, writing and grammar skills of this Dubai family who spend their summers in England.
It was essential that the Tutor keep in mind that the children were on their summer vacation and while progress was important, lessons needed to light and fun.
