This family winter outside the UK and take their children out of school during the period. Between the children, the full range of school subjects is covered. A tutor was needed to continue the boys' education in a fun and location-appropriate style.
Tutors International supported this Client for 5 months each winter for 4 years until the eldest boy's GCSE preparation was at risk of being too significantly impacted.

The elder boy had been diagnosed with ADD and had been bullied. His self esteem was low and he lacked confidence. Both boys enjoyed being outdoors and exploring the world around them.
A full time private tutor able to support all school subjects developed a broad home-schooled curriculum to get the older boy back on track. He returned to school after 2 years tutoring where he is now doing well.
This highly able boy had been attending a school in Hong Kong which did not offer anything like the standards required by the top London private schools, where the family were planning to move.
Tutors International were able to source a Tutor quickly and bring the boy to the required standard.
A Tutor was needed to provide a home education for a girl being home-schooled during Middle School to allow the family the freedom to travel.
The girl was accepted into her first choice of High School on her return and the family no longer have such itchy feet.

This family are homeschooling all the way to College because they believe that this is better education than traditional schooling. The position is now in its 4th year and the children are following a British curriculum.
For the first 3 years the two children shared a Tutor. Now, as their interests and strengths become more divergent the Client has opted to have 2 tutors to cover the subjects so that each can be more specialised.

The boys were cousins. One had been bullied at school and the other recently relocated to the area had never done well at school, so the parents sought a private tutor to home educate.
The Tutor quickly established that one of the children was dyslexic and was able to adjust the teaching to suit his learning style. After a year both boys re-entered mainstream schools and graduated normally.
A bilingual German/English Tutor was needed. The family travel extensively and for long periods and were looking for a Tutor who would be able to offer an enriching educational experience that bridged the periods when the boy was away from his school.

This was a short term position. The Tutor's role was to maintain the children's education relative to their peers while temporarily in Los Angeles. The boy had exceptional memory skills and this was masking a difficulty with reading and learning.
Working with the tutor exposed the hidden learning deficits and largely resolved them. The boy was accepted to an excellent school in his home city of New York and is thriving.
