The Client was a 38 year old business man. He had received a good education and held a senior position in a large international company. Although he was fluent in conversational Arabic he never really learned to read or write the language, and harboured a dream to become competent enough that he could read and enjoy the Koran in its original language.
A very experienced academic was found to work with the Client. He escorted him as he travelled for his business. The Tutor provided lessons in time between meetings, in the evenings and whenever else the time could be found.
This arrangement lasted for a full year, after which the Client's Arabic was at the desired standard.

This was a complex position that began when the eldest boy was 10 and had a complex learning difference that affective his cognitive reasoning. Although the initial role was to help the older boy, the role evolved into supporting all the children.
An experienced educator, someone familiar with educational theory and willing to encourage non-traditional pathways was needed. The boy was able to catch up with his peers and his sisters are now thriving too.
